This document is an FBI FD-1057, a form the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) uses to record investigative activity. This FD-1057 contains a first-hand narrative description of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) reported near Colorado Springs, Colorado. The interviewee provided this statement to FBI special agents to aid in producing a digital artistic interpretation of the incident.

Army intel ligence officer, al ong wi th four other members of his uni t, observed a UAP over 11111 the Cheyenne Mountains as they exited their office buil ding . described the day as the perfect •bl ue bird" sky as there were no cl ouds, l ittl e humidity, with a temperature of approximatel y 50 degrees Fahrenhei t. The object was •potato" shaped wi th di stinct edges and appeared to l ook painted in a creamy/whitish opalescent color. It was somewhat translucent with a slight shimmer. The object was made up of what can best be described as articulating fish scales or panel s that were non syrnrnetri cal , non-overlappi ng, and irregular shaped. The object itself was perfectl y still but each panel on the object shifted i n sl ow waves starting at different points of origin but at the same time . 11111 After approximately two minutes, the object vanished . specificall y stated that the object "cl oaked" in the space of time it took to turn a head and there was no shadow. and initial sketch draft are attached.
